Hello,
It’s Sunita here.
I can’t teach you anything. That’s a fact.
Why?
Because I am not an expert on you, so have no way to ascertain what you need, or want to learn.
But there is a bigger reason why I can’t teach you anything.
Because only you can decide to learn.
There is no way anyone can teach us anything or change us if we do not wish to change.
To choose to grow is a personal decision.
To choose to let go of what is holding us back is a personal decision.
To choose to break bad habits is a personal decision.
To choose to cultivate new habits that are good for us is a personal decision.
To embrace the pursuit of fulfilling our potential is a personal decision.
To turn our back on our origin story is a personal decision.
To allow others in to help us heal is a personal decision.
To stop blaming others for what’s wrong in our life is a personal decision.
To attempt to mend our broken relationships is a personal decision.
To walk away from permanently damaged relationships is a personal decision.
To serve others in ways we can is a personal decision.
To understand ourselves better is a personal decision.
To be brave and courageous to accept our flawed selves is a personal decision.
To consciously embrace our superpower of vulnerability is a personal decision.
To choose to accept our dynamic nature over a fixed identity is a personal decision.
To choose self-empowerment through a continuous process of self-discovery and self-awareness is a personal decision.
To choose to make a difference, create something of value for others, experience life without filters, learn something new, offer to share what we know and have, experience love and connection and seek growth today is a personal decision.
Only we can be the expert on the subject of ourselves.
We don’t take this powerful opportunity to live in our personal greatness because it comes with the scariness of a huge responsibility, and it demands that we become accountable to ourselves. We are just not willing to take the risk of being wrong, failing, or doing something poorly. The uncertainty and absence of a guaranteed favorable outcome in the pursuit of self actualization is so terrifying that we rob ourselves of our hero’s journey.
The decision to get onto the path of becoming an expert on ourselves is intensely personal and is only ours to make.
That’s why I can’t teach you anything.
Only you can choose to learn.
No Entry. Crew only.
We Are Our Crew.
Until next time,
Moving forwards,
Sunita
PS-Today’s post is in honor of Ted Taitt. He is an extremely talented music producer, artist, musician, thinker, dad, partner and generous friend. And, he has a career helping companies grow by applying his mad talent for creating systems and inspiring teams to perform miracles.
I was lucky to have had Ted produce the Audible Audiobook of Stripping-My Fight to Find Me in May of 2018. Not only did he teach me how to read my poetry for the listener, but had unlimited patience and encouragement for me as I navigated the emotionally trying process of reciting the poems out loud. Plus we had many laughs and fun all through the process.
Thank you, Ted!

After we decide to pursue our personal greatness, we must then relentlessly work to find the best people to collaborate with so we can create our best work.
I have been incredibly lucky in that department and will continue to periodically share them with you.
